Counsellors abiding by the BACP’s ethical framework for good practice are required to engage in a formal supervision arrangement to discuss their work regularly with someone who is experienced in counselling and supervision.
I am a qualified Supervisor with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision and have experience in supervising trainee counsellors and qualified counsellors with considerable experience. I can provide supervision for individuals or for groups.
The task in supervision is to work together to ensure and develop the efficacy of the counsellor/client relationship. The agenda will be the counselling work and feeling about that work. Supervision is a process to maintain standards of counselling and a method of consultancy to widen the horizons of the practitioner. Supervision also provides an opportunity to relate practice to theory and vice versa, and to evolve practice.
Fees:
Individual supervision £40 per hour (concessionary rate for students)
Group supervision (group of 3-4) per two hours £25 each
