Crossroads Counselling Farnborough

Testimonials

After a relatively short period of counselling with Maria, I found myself resolving issues that were still causing me to think and act in certain ways. The counselling has given me a very different perspective on me and how I behave, and now feel and act from a much more positive place. I cannot recommend Maria highly enough - Thank you -

Having had a small number of counselling sessions with Maria I now feel very different and try to approach everything with a more considered approach and hopefully that is what I set out to achieve. This has meant I now see a future with my family and Maria played a large part in that and I thank her very much for her contribution in making this a possibility.

Through my sessions with Maria, I learned a tremendous amount about myself and continue to do so. Most noticeably, I feel more grown up (I'm 42)! Maria has given me the skill to examine my behaviour in a lot of situations so that I have come to understand how this influences my life and those around me and how they interact with me as a result. I have found a more confident "voice" and am able to engage in situations where previously my tendency would be to withdraw.
Maria has enabled me to change other patterns in my behaviour and this has strengthened and enriched my relationships with those close to me, family, friends and colleagues. I feel more at peace with myself and no longer desperate to resolve issues or make important decisions overnight. I feel stronger and happier now than at any other time in my life and confident that any decisions I do make, I am more likely to stick to rather than “jeopardising my own success” by going back on my decision, as was my previous habit.
If you are considering counselling then please do give Maria a try. I found her to be highly skilled, exceptionally intuitive, compassionate, understanding and genuinely interested in me and my issues. I felt instantly at ease and it was truly a pleasure working with her - even fun at times! - and I have enjoyed the journey. It is impossible to put my gratitude into actual words.

I came for counselling with Maria after a series of life events left me feeling depressed, anxious and unable to cope. Maria's style of counselling provided me with a safe and supportive environment that allowed me to explore the problems I was having at my own pace and work towards solutions that were right for me.
Throughout, Maria's approach was always kind, understanding and professional and I found counselling with her a very beneficial experience that helped me enormously.
Today, even though I am no longer in counselling, I continue to benefit from it, as my work with Maria has provided me with the foundations that I continue to build upon in my every day life.
I know from personal experience that taking the necessary steps to find help and support can be an overwhelming task at such a painful and difficult time, and that is why I would thoroughly recommend Crossroads Counselling to anyone reading this who may be considering seeking counselling but is unsure of what to expect.

I felt the counselling I received from you was enough to help me start to understand the root of my problem and then put my mind into remedying my issues. Your method of counselling was first class and it was a pleasure to have done it with you. No doubt, if I have any other issues in the future I will call you in the first instance, but fingers crossed this is our last correspondence.

Counselling – is it for you? Are you scared or anxious about having counselling? It's quite common, so you’re not alone. I was!!!
If you were driving your car and you got lost you’d probably ask for directions. Counselling is the same. I know I’ve been there (and still am!!).
Think of your mind as a tool box. Now think of counselling as the guide to know how to use the tools inside it, because that’s how I see it. It’s a re-education of yourself. Don’t feel embarrassed for asking for help, it works.
I’ve had many sessions with Maria over the years, at different times and for various reasons, alcohol, drugs, depression, anger management etc. She’s helped me so much. I’ve found out so many things about myself and how to conduct myself. I’m eternally grateful. Please try counselling cos it really works. I’ve made progress and I’m a handful sometimes. So if I can do it, so can you.
Good luck.

Maria has been a terrific help to me. She has a wonderful style with a genuine interest in me and a level of understanding that I have come to really appreciate.
Maria has given me a safe place to talk things through and is amazingly supportive and encouraging.
If you are thinking about counselling then please have a chat with Maria, I hope she can help you as much as she has helped me.

Maria helps me to talk and get everything off my chest. I can’t talk to my family about some things but in counselling it’s a relief to blurt it all out.
If I hadn’t come to counselling after detox I wouldn’t have learned about certain triggers that I link to using heroin.
Knowing them helps me to find other ways of coping. Without proper after care I don’t think I would have had much chance of succeeding ………………………..
Now - the light at the end of my tunnel just gets bigger.
